A hybrid role on Centric Infrastructure Group's Austin crews: run heavy equipment and back up the splicer on terminations, splicing and installs. Centric will train the fiber side; you need 1–2 years on heavy machines.
The work
- Operate heavy and technical equipment
- Assist the splicer with terminations, splicing, bonding and CPE installs
- Troubleshoot signal problems and log the day's work
What they want
- 1–2 years operating heavy machines, including shoot/cut grade
- Clean, valid driver's license
- Handy with hand tools; fiber experience not required
