TECO-Westinghouse's data center fiber team in Round Rock needs a field tech to build racks and fiber distribution frames, splice and terminate, and test. Travel runs about a third of the time.
The work
- Install cabinets, racks and optical distribution frames from drawings
- Fusion splice, terminate and inspect connectors
- Test with OTDR, OLTS and power meters and document results
What they want
- 1–3 years of fiber install, splicing and testing
- High school diploma
- FOA CFOT/CFOS, BICSI or OSHA 30 preferred
