Centric Infrastructure Group needs an outside-plant splicer based in Dallas who will travel heavily among its Texas markets (Austin, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio). The job covers splicing and troubleshooting on fiber-to-the-home networks from the central office to the customer.
The work
- Fusion splice and connectorize cables up to 288 fibers
- Build, bond and seal splice cases
- Troubleshoot damaged fiber and work service tickets
- Do preventive maintenance and help locate underground cable
What they want
- Two or more years of telecom splicing and testing
- Ribbon splicing experience preferred
- Valid driver's license and own basic hand tools
- Able to lift 75 lbs, climb and kneel
