Congruex is hiring an experienced splicer for a travel crew covering Michigan and Wisconsin, working multi-week rotations away from home. The role covers splicing, testing and activating aerial and underground fiber, and calls for five or more years in the trade.
The work
- Splice, repair, test and certify fiber on aerial and underground plant
- Install enclosures, terminal panels and passive or active devices
- Pull fiber through duct and conduit, then activate the system
- Run light-meter and OTDR tests and keep production paperwork current
What they want
- At least five years of fiber splicing experience
- Background in both aerial and underground fiber construction
- Comfortable with OTDRs, light meters and hand tools; able to lift 80 lbs
- Valid driver's license, high school diploma or GED, and a clean drug screen and background check
- Willing to travel for multi-week stretches
